Internal Family Systems Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps you get to know the different parts of you that have different reactions, emotions, and thoughts, so that you can restore balance between the different parts, heal any past wounds, and move forward in a more balanced way.
The IFS process offers mind-body connection, Self-compassion, Inner Child healing work, and even spiritual awakening, all in one.
IFS is based on the idea that we all contain different parts within us and that every part of us has a positive intention for us.
IFS also asserts that we all have a core Self, which can be a healing agent in therapy. I’ll help you find your core Self and practice being in it, so that you can trust your own inner wisdom.

IFS is non-pathologizing approach to therapy and is helpful for treating many experiences including:

Relational trauma
Self-esteem
Depression
Anxiety
Grief and Loss
Everyone has so many different sides. No one is just a single part of their personality all the time. We all get angry, insecure, and afraid. IFS believes that this doesn’t make you crazy, it makes you human.
Through IFS you get to know all the different parts of your personality and identity that contribute to your successes, as well as your downfalls at times because despite their best intentions, they can act unwisely on your behalf.
In therapy, I’ll help you identify these parts of yourself, help you get to know them, and help them get to know you.
Your parts are like a family on the inside. When they are working well together, there is harmony. If they are not, we can get to know them and understand what’s going on with them to help them find a better way. We will work together to learn about your unique parts and bring them into relationship with your Self to heal them and move them into the future with you.
